About Sandy

Hi.  I'm Sandy Cabelis--Interior Designer Extraordinaire.  Hmm. Too much?  Well, I am a lover of great design and I get a thrill every time I complete a project and delight a client.  I've tried other things in life but this is where I belong.  What's my style, you ask?  My job is to give you what you want.  But I do have a particular road map that I like to stick to.  Classic is forever.  That doesn't mean keeping grandma's plastic-covered formal set in the living room.  Classic forms and architecture are tried and true--things you'll enjoy for a long time, not just until the next season when you ask "what the heck was I thinking?"  I like to use classic forms but apply them in a fresh and updated way makes a space exciting.   You will NEVER get a cookie cutter design from me.  You deserve better than a room torn out of a catalog.  As my client, you will get a thoughtful and customized design that exactly fits your needs.    Call me if you are ready to be delighted.

Community involvement/Awards/In the News:

If I think something is a worthy cause, I jump in with both feet.  I like to stay involved with my design community with fellow designers and vendors alike. So I have been an active in the NJ Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers throughout my design career.  I have held numerous leadership roles in the organization and have served multiple times on the Board of Directors including President.  I've also been honored with a Presidential Citation and the Rene Baron Hennessey award from ASID NJ.

 My 20+ years in the industry has been devoted to quality, luxury design. I have been able to develop relationships with expert craftsmen and suppliers who I are the real deal.  They provide the quality work and product that make me look like a rock star.  In addition to a degree in Interior Design, I have and MBA which comes in handy when I need to be an advocate for my client on the business end.

Finally, I'm a wife to my husband (a contractor--go figure) who always has my back and a mom to the coolest little boy who is the light of my life.
